Stratos Innovations, Seattle, Washington, specified RTP Company's PermaStat® 600, a permanent antistatic, nonsloughing ABS for an innovative tool for the electronic industry. the SIMM Remover is the first tool designed to extract SIMMs (Single Inline Memory Modules) from personal computer motherboards and memory boards.

The PermaStat® 600 material prevents an accumulation of static charge or direct transmittal of a charge, thereby protecting SIMMs and circuit boards from electrical damage. Cost effective ABS-based PermaStat® 600 provides the rigidity needed for the tool. The hand-held tool slides over the edges of the SIMM, engages the holes in the SIMM and disengages its delicate socket's latches without stressing the socket or its connections. The SIMM Remover decreases the risk of damaging SIMMs and their sockets while protecting valuable circuit boards and connectors from improper or forceful SIMM extraction.
