RoHS Directive Compliance
RoHS (restriction of hazardous substances) Directive 2002/95/EC bans placing on the EU market after July 1, 2006 new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than allowed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.
Most thermoplastic compounds manufactured by RTP Company in their natural uncolored form comply with RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC.
The coloring of some products may use heavy metal based pigments containing elements which exceed levels permitted by RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC.
RTP Company does not generally use flame retardants incorporating polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) which are restricted under RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC.
