Silane-based antimicrobial additives are a effective means of improving products by providing protection from the damaging effects of bacteria, mold/fungi, and algae that results in longer product life-cycles and improved aesthetics.

Biosafe's antimicrobial solution is non-migratory and non-depleting allowing it to fight microbic discoloration, odor, and degradation for the useful life of plastic articles. It offer low toxicity and has passed ISO 10993 testing for non-cytotoxicity. Additionally, the additive does not discolor the host resin, providing improved colorability.
