RTP Company Expands Design Services with CAE

WINONA, MINNESOTA, USA — Customers who convert designs from metal to injection molded thermoplastics can now receive professional assistance from RTP Company. Recent additions of new Computer Aided Engineering software and staff will give customers a higher level of support in part/mold design and optimization of RTP Company materials.

New services include analysis and problem resolution in:

• Mold filling and packing
  To assist with gate placement or weld lines.


• Fiber orientation filling and packing
  To visualize and predict mechanical property variation due to fiber orientation.


• Warping
  To allow more precise prediction of expected part tolerances and dimensional stability.


• Structural
  To predict mechanical property variation and part performance.

Robert Sherman, CAE Manager, has years of experience in mold analysis and consulting work in high-tech manufacturing firms and engineering firms. He has a BS degree in engineering from Purdue University and is the former Customer Support/Technical Manager for Moldflow, Inc.
