  • RTP Company's 1800 A FR is rated UL94 V-0 at 1/16 in and 1/8 in (1.5mm and 3.0 mm) and 5-VA at 0.087 in (2.2 mm). This innovative polycarbonate/acrylic alloy compound has an excellent balance of impact resistance, processability, and chemical resistance. Its notched IZOD impact strength at 1/8 in (3.175mm) of 20.0 ft lbs/in (1080 J/m) and tensile strength of 7500 psi (52MPa) are superior to polycarbonate while maintaining the processing ease associated with acrylics. The compound's natural opaque white provides an excellent base for a wide range of colors.

Key applications include housings, computer and printer components, snowboard bindings, and as an excellent alternative to existing polycarbonate or PC/ABS applications.

  • RTP Company's 4705 FR compound is rated UL94 V-0 at 1/32 in and 1/16 in (0.8 mm and 1.5mm) and 5-VA at 1/16 in (1.5mm). This new polytrimethylene terephthalate compound offers performance and processing similar to PBT and PET while providing significant cost advantages in many applications. It features tensile strength of 18,000 psi (124MPa) and flexural strength of 25,000 psi (172MPa). Heat deflection temperature at 264 psi (1820 kPa) is 41 degrees F (21 degrees C). The compound maintains basic polyester benefits of dimensional stability, electrical insulation, and chemical resistance, all at a lower cost.

Key applications include electronic connectors, switches, plugs, housings, and snap-fit parts in computers and automobiles.
