Laser-Markable Compounds

Laser Markable Compounds produce permanent imprints resistant to wear and abrasion, often with fewer processing steps and lower costs versus other marking methods.

Uneven finishes and shapes can be marked with labels, logos, serial numbers, and other important information. Black, white, yellow, red, blue, green, orange and violet marks can be created, depending on compound formulation.

Product Characteristics

• Many engineering resins can be developed for laser marking. We pretest your compound for markability using our in-house Nd:YAG laser.
• Laser marks last indefinitely.
• Colored laser marks exposed to UV light may fade. Incorporating UV stabilizers into the compound or applying an external UV resistant coating can slow any fading.
