Accounts Payable Analyst Position Available – Winona, MN

RTP Company is a global compounder of custom engineered thermoplastics. Headquartered in Winona, Minnesota, we have over 20 manufacturing plants located in the United States, Mexico, Europe, Singapore and China. Our engineers develop customized thermoplastic compounds in over 60 different engineering resin systems for applications requiring color, conductive, elastomeric, flame retardant, high temperature, structural, and wear-resistant properties.

The Accounts Payable Analyst is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure correct approval, sorting, coding and matching of invoices/receipts
  • Set invoices up for payment
  • Sales and Use tax administration
  • Manage the weekly check run process
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies/issues
  • Correspond with suppliers and respond to inquiries
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Qualifications:

    • Associate’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance is preferred
    • Proficient in data entry and management
    • High standards for confidentiality
    • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel
    • Skilled with working in a fast-paced environment
    • Aptitude for meeting deadlines
    • Strong communication skills
    • Good at working independently
    • Strong work ethic
    • Excellent attendance
    • Dependable
    • Organized
