RTP Company, headquartered in Winona, Minn., is a global compounder of custom engineered thermoplastics. The company has over 20 manufacturing plants located in the United States, Mexico, Europe, Singapore and China. RTP Company’s engineers develop customized thermoplastic compounds in over 60 different engineering resin systems for applications requiring color, conductive, elastomeric, flame retardant, high temperature, structural, and wear-resistant properties.
This position supports reception and basic office administration needs of the RTP Company Fort Worth plant location as well as supporting administration of local human resources functions.
Responsibilities
- Receive visitors and answers multi-line telephones providing assistance and/or directing inquiries to the appropriate office or person
- Utilize internal paging system to communicate as appropriate
- Process the daily mail, receiving, sorting, and distributing mail
- Coordinate site business meetings and lunches, customer visits, and employee events, such as the picnic and holiday celebrations
- Oversee the production uniform supply and vendor relationship
- Provide HR administrative support services which may include the following:
- Administer and assist in entering weekly site timekeeping
- Support the recruiting function for plant positions, including posting, sourcing, interviewing, and coordinating pre-employment testing
- Support new employee orientation, onboarding, and site training programs
- Assist with benefits communication and actions
- Ensure proper employee communications on HR related items
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
- Run local errands to support plant needs, such as post office drop offs and office or event supplies
- Order office supplies as needed
- Other duties as assigned

- Must have effective communication skills, writing skills, and attention to detail
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be capable of multi-tasking and working independently
- Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and front office demeanor
- Must be able to handle confidential matters with discretion
- Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and have good attendance
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Education and Experience
- HS degree or GED required; associate degree preferred
- 1+ years receptionist/administrative/data-processing experience required
- 1-3 years of human resources experience preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR to drive a company car
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Regularly required to sit, perform keyboard data entry, work on and look at a computer screen
- Regularly required to communicate on the telephone and paging system
- Regularly walk throughout the facility to coordinate guests and communicate with employees
- Regularly required to operate a company vehicle to run local errands
- Occasional travel to other locations may be required
