RTP Company, headquartered in Winona, Minn., is a global compounder of custom engineered thermoplastics. The company has over 20 manufacturing plants located in the United States, Mexico, Europe, Singapore and China. RTP Company’s engineers develop customized thermoplastic compounds in over 60 different engineering resin systems for applications requiring color, conductive, elastomeric, flame retardant, high temperature, structural, and wear-resistant properties.

This position necessitates creativity, good common sense, and strong communication skills. The Executive Assistant must be a strategic partner to the Executive(s) and must have sound decision-making skills. The individual must be conscientious of the needs of the business and the executives who are supported. The Executive Assistant must also have a high degree of integrity and fully understand the critical elements of confidentiality for the subjects to which the person is exposed.

  • Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to executives and other senior staff as needed
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, invoices; creating and updating reports, and metrics, preparing presentations, and other documents as needed for executive/senior staff
  • Coordinates meetings, travel, events, and other needs for the executives
  • Schedules and attends meetings on behalf of executives, taking notes and recording minutes
  • Receives incoming communication or memos on behalf of senior staff, reviews contents, determines importance, and summarizes and/or distributes contents to appropriate staff
  • Performs office tasks including maintaining records, ordering supplies, and performing basic bookkeeping
  • Supports and leads projects or other business-related needs as the business may require
  • Acts as point of contact between executive(s) and employees or clients
  • Assists in performing initial review of legal documents/agreements and maintain organized files of all agreements, legal documents, or other records in a secure location
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Must have a high school degree/GED with 10 years of administrative experience or a relative combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred
  • Progressive administrative experience preferred
  • Must have experience working with confidential information
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time as well as look at a computer screen
  • Selected responsibilities may necessitate travel and could include meetings and travel planning for others
