RTP Company, headquartered in Winona, MN, is a global compounder of custom engineered thermoplastics. The company has over 20 manufacturing plants located in the United States, Mexico, Germany, France, Singapore, and China. RTP Company engineers develop customized thermoplastic compounds in over 60 different engineering resin systems for applications requiring color, conductive, elastomeric, flame retardant, high temperature, structural, and wear-resistant properties.

This position is responsible for supervising the integrity of inventory and material handling processes and information in use at the RTP Company Orange, TX site. Ensures that both company and customer requirements are met and serves as the primary interface between customers and RTP Company Orange, TX site for inventory accountability pertaining to completion reports. Provides the structure and management to meet customer requests, while satisfying performance objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Put together and issue production job folders
  • Print finished product labels for all required production jobs
  • Investigate discrepancies in raw material consumptions and finished material production
  • Provide timely and accurate completion reports to customers
  • File and maintain all production file folders
  • Interface with customer service regarding inventory related details and/or needs
  • Work with logistics manager for inventory related transactions
  • Perform routine audits of stock
  • Ensure all materials are properly identified
  • Trouble shoot and problem solve any inventory issues related to production folders
  • Ensures customer requirements for inventory management, accuracy, and reporting are maintained and followed
  • Communicates with customer service and/or logistics to resolve inventory related problems and maintain a strong working relationship
  • Communicates with other department managers, engineers, and CSR’s to ensure RTP Company operation requirements and customer expectations are met
  • Works with the management team to investigate customer complaints and contribute to 8D report building
  • Possesses qualifications and abilities to train others within the scope of his/her own job description
  • Attend plant safety meetings
  • Follow plant rules, policies, and procedures
  • Follow instructions of supervisor pertaining to job
Qualifications

  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of plant processes
  • Ability to perform inventory analysis in production and warehouse environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • TS 16949 knowledge as it relates to inventory analyst
  • Quality complaints
  • FIFO

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a high school degree or equivalent
  • College degree preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English language
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in production and/or inventory management preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time as well as look at a computer screen
  • Occasional travel to other locations may be required
