RTP Company, headquartered in Winona, Minn., is a global compounder of custom engineered thermoplastics. The company has over 20 manufacturing plants located in the United States, Mexico, Europe, Singapore and China. RTP Company’s engineers develop customized thermoplastic compounds in over 60 different engineering resin systems for applications requiring color, conductive, elastomeric, flame retardant, high temperature, structural, and wear-resistant properties.

Responsible for all aspects of conveying and packaging product; mix additives required on certain products; hand loading and dumping various raw materials. Responsible for quality, safety, and housekeeping.

Responsibilities
  • Identify difference between final packaging
  • Properly make up boxes
  • Sample boxes and mark samples properly
  • Monitor printer and ensure proper print quality
  • Monitor in-feed and out-feed conveyors and insure proper movement of boxes
  • Operate all controls on wash station
  • Operate AT01 elevator
  • Operate the material hoist
  • Hand load additives in AT01 batches
  • Maintain level in additive tanks
  • Update records on holding tanks on control room board
  • Keep up with levels of product in all holding tanks used
  • Maintains production materials storage area. This involves recording material transactions in inventory records and properly storing items
  • Maintain cleanliness and safe conditions of immediate work area. High standard of cleanliness on extruder and auxiliary equipment
  • Must recognize, retain, and protect confidential information, specifically with customer information pertaining to formulations, business relationships, and product characteristics, as well as proprietary compounding technology
  • Complete the following training: Annual QMS/ISO procedures training
  • Follow plant safety procedures
  • Attend plant safety meetings
  • Follow plant rules, polices, and procedures
  • Meet requirements to achieve and maintain certifications and accreditations as they pertain to job
  • Follow instructions of supervisor pertaining to job

Education and Experience

  • Entry-level position
  • High School diploma or GED certificate desired but not required
  • Be available to work overtime as required
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Stand, bend, and walk for 10- 12 hours per day
  • Sustain long periods of light to moderately heavy physical activity
  • Able to lift up to 60lbs using proper lifting technique
  • Ability to properly use ladders and stairs
  • Ability to work over head
  • Willing to be subjected to heat and humidity in the workspace
