RTP Company, headquartered in Winona, Minn., is a global compounder of custom engineered thermoplastics. The company has over 20 manufacturing plants located in the United States, Mexico, Europe, Singapore and China. RTP Company’s engineers develop customized thermoplastic compounds in over 60 different engineering resin systems for applications requiring color, conductive, elastomeric, flame retardant, high temperature, structural, and wear-resistant properties.

The MRP Planner is responsible for maintaining stocked goods at levels to meet customer delivery expectations. This position requires a high degree of analytical capability with a combination of both strategic and tactical skills to optimize the complex balance between customer expectations, inventory, lead-time, lot-size, and other supply chain factors. The role interfaces with sales engineers, customer service, raw materials planning, purchasing, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and apply judgment to inventory levels of stocked items
  • Place internal orders based on customer forecasts, web portals, and re-order points
  • Maintain appropriate quantities and completion dates to balance service levels and inventory
  • Weekly inventory reporting and review with customers
  • Communicate material supply issues proactively
  • Identify slow moving and excess stock
  • Analyze production trends
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • AAS degree in related field or a minimum of 3 years materials planning
  • Working knowledge of ERP and MRP systems
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Logical thinking with creative problem solving ability
  • Embrace and promote constant change
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Word
  • The ability to work as a team and individually
