RTP Company, headquartered in Winona, MN, is a global compounder of custom engineered thermoplastics. The company has over 20 manufacturing plants located in the United States, Mexico, Germany, France, Singapore, and China. RTP Company engineers develop customized thermoplastic compounds in over 60 different engineering resin systems for applications requiring color, conductive, elastomeric, flame retardant, high temperature, structural, and wear-resistant properties.

The Warehousing/Logistics Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of warehouse inventory, staffing requirements, assigning work, and overseeing yard shuttle support.

  • Effectively manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and shuttle operation
  • Effectively manage and staff the areas of receiving, shipping, transfers, silos, and bulk pre-loading
  • Support the development of the warehouse team via ongoing coaching and mentoring
  • Manage the shuttle drivers and their workload and ensure full coverage where necessary
  • Manage the returns to the warehouse and ensure items are dealt with promptly and returned to stock/supplier
  • Maintain high level of communication with plant management to make sure needs are met
  • Responsible for investigating inventory discrepancies and reporting the information to relevant managers for adjustment
  • Carry out regular stock cycle counts to assure inventory accuracy
  • Ensure the highest operational standards are deployed at all times
  • Responsible for maintaining the stock levels all packaging
  • Ensure the warehouse is compliant with current health and safety regulations and that the warehouse team is trained appropriately
  • Assist with daily management of OTR drivers and equipment maintenance scheduling
  • Regularly appraise team members and carry out annual performance reviews

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Warehousing/Logistics Management
  • Experience with international shipment processing a plus
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand for long periods of time
  • The individual must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Proper personal safety equipment is to be used as pointed out by plant safety procedures
  • The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, dust, fumes, airborne particles, chemical dust, hot and cold weather conditions
  • The employee is also exposed to moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to hazardous materials as defined by the OSHA Hazard Communication standard
