RTP 2100 Series Polyetherimide Compounds

Advantages

  • Continuous use temperature of 365 degrees F (180 degrees C)
  • High strength
  • Inherently flame retardant
  • Dimensional stability
Limitations

  • Chemical resistance
  • Cost
  • Colorability

Polyetherimide (PEI) is a high performance engineering thermoplastic. PEI’s characteristics include high strength and rigidity at elevated temperatures, long term heat resistance, and outstanding dimensional stability.

Like other amorphous, high temperature resins, PEI has outstanding dimensional stability and is inherently flame retardant. PEI exhibits good chemical resistance to many substances including hydrocarbons, alcohols and halogenated solvents.
